HOW TO READ YOUR WATER METER
North Park Water generally uses 5/8" or 3/4" meters in residential applications. Our water meters are usually located inside the home (in a basement or utility room), crawlspace, or in a pit. Se the image below for an example of what the meter looks like.

Meter Type A
This type of meter has a remote reading device attached to it, allowing our team to read the meter remotely. The face of the meter, as shown above, notes the number of gallons that have run through the meter, and also have a flow indicator (red star shaped dial). The flow indicator shows when water is moving through the meter.
This meter also indicates water usage down to a tenth of a gallon. The bill you will receive drops the last digit shown after the decimal above.
Meter Type B

The face of the meter, as shown above, notes the number of gallons that have run through the meter, and also have a flow indicator (red star shaped dial). The flow indicator shows when water is moving through the meter.
This type of meter shows usage down to a single gallon. In this example, the customer has used 670,080 gallons.
